Fewer young people in Moldova opt for higher education.
Over the past nine years, the number of students has decreased by almost 43%.
The data were presented by the Rectors' Council in Moldova and were discussed by members of the Culture Committee of the Parliament.
The most drastic decline was registered between 2013 and 2015, when the number of students dropped by 8,000 each year.
Statistics also show that environmental protection is the most unattractive major. Last year, only 25 students were taught in this faculty.
