About 200,000 state workers will receive higher salaries. The biggest increases are go to the employees with low salaries, but also the young specialists. The areas concerned include education, health, social assistance and local and central public administration.
The initiative came from the Democratic Party and was supported by the Government and the Parliament. Thus, no budget will receive salaries lower than the subsistence limit, less than two thousand lei.
The salaries of more than 36 thousand teachers in schools will be higher, on average, over 800 lei and will exceed 6 700 lei. At the same time, the leagues of 750 young teachers, without a teaching degree and with a work experience of up to three years, increased on average by 1500 lei to 5,000 lei.
At the same time, more than 5,500 educators will receive from now on an average salary of almost 6,000 lei. Approximately 8,000 donations in the country will have double, which will reach over 3,000 lei.
The increases are also substantial for some 1,500 physicians working in public institutions funded by the state budget.
They will earn on average 3,500 lei or 60 percent more than they have done so far.
At the same time, the salaries of doctors and medical staff paid from the budget of the National Health Insurance Company were increased by 20 and 10 percent, respectively. This is about 48,000 medical professionals.
It benefits from increases and 40,000 local government officials. Increases are up to 20 percent. About 40,000 people representing technical staff enjoy a salary increase of about 30 percent.
Social worker payrolls have increased by almost 2,000 lei and make up about 5,600 lei. And the wages of 90 percent of personal assistants have risen to 3,500 lei per month.
And about five thousand postmen and other employees of the Post Office will raise higher salaries by up to 100 percent.
The salaries that raised in December will be lifted in January. For wage reform between the years 2019-2021 3,9 billion lei will be allocated. By 2021, it is expected to increase by about 30% the average monthly salary for employees of institutions financed from the state budget and over 55% for those financed from local budgets.
