Ten years have passed since the death of Grigore Vieru. The most famous poet of his generation passed away two day after he got in a road accident. His poems will last forever. He makes us remember our childhood, family, parents and the parental house. 

Grigore Vieru was born on February 14 in 1935 in Pererita village from Briceni district. 

His poems have been used as a sound track for Maria Mirabela film that was produced in 1980.

Grigore Vieru owns Andersen diploma - the most important award in children literature. His monument is placed on the Classics' Alley from Chisinau and Straseni. Grigore Vieru should have had celebrated his 73rd anniversary today.
