Customs Services have prevented an attempt of placing smuggled home textiles from Transnistria on the market. The lot was detected in Fîrlădenii Noi settlement, Căușeni district, in a pulled over car, driven by a citizen from Tiraspol.

Customs officers have seized 5 500 towels, 900 aprons, 547 bathrobes, 255 nightgowns, 170 pillowcases, as well as kitchen textiles.

The goods are worth over 100 000 lei. The suspect is currently investigated for smuggling and import violations.
