A 48-year-old man from Bălăbănești village, Criuleni, was arrested for 30 days on suspicion of killing and burying his lover in the garden. 

According to law enforcement, the 38-year-old woman was murdered on the night of 30 to 31st May. The woman was visiting her former lover, the two fought, resulting in the man killing the victim.

To hide the crime, the suspect buried the corpse in the garden in the night of June 1, having burned her phone and clothes. 

A friend of the victim was the one to file a missing person. Following searches, law enforcement found the body, that was then taken to  the forensics.

If found guilty, the suspect risks a 15 year sentence.
