The deputy head of the criminal police from the northern district of Râşcani will stay under house arrest for 30 more days.

The decision has been made by a court in Chisinau. He and other three colleagues are suspected of power abuse.

They undertook no action to discover a double murder, as two men were killed with a hammer by drinking spree companions.

The victims’ relatives accuse the arrested top police officers for trying to cover up the homicide.
