A man from Edinet was detained by the officers of the general territorial direction of NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors, being suspected of influence peddling. They asked for 850 Euro from a man in order to help him take the driving license.

According to the person who denounced them, the suspect and some other persons promised that they have influence over the members of the Commission within the Matriculation Section of the Transportation and the Drivers Qualification from Drochia.

The man was detained for 72 hours. If found guilty, he risks up to six years behind bars.

The anti-corruption prosecutor's office started an investigation.
