How to avoid pick pocketing? IGP came with some advises
The General Police Inspectorate inaugurated the "Safety Alleyway" today, in Chisinau. On the alleyway there will be panels that will inform the citizens about how to avoid the pick pocketing. Also, people are advised to educate the children to be careful.
"Safety Alleyway is placed on Grigore Vieru boulevard from the Capital. People of the law say they want to make the society more responsible, to raise the responsibility degree and to inform the people how to avoid the most frequent crimes of the society", declared Marin Maxian, the chief of Security Direction of IGP.
"We encourage the citizens not to hesitate and to read the panels. If the citizens will be careless, then, they will encourage the criminals to repeat their actions", said Marin Maxian.
Totally, on the Safety Alleyway there will be almost 40 informative panels. Pupils of the Science Academy of Moldova also helped the pupils.
They have spread informative flyers to the passers-by:
"We are not careless according to these projects and we urge the pupils to be active. We decided to inform the citizens who pass-by near and to advise them to be more careful."
"I am affected by this cases. I hope that these actions will decrease the number of thefts, murders and accidents."
People appreciated the initiative of General Police Inspectorate and they say that the panels will be also placed in other zones too, not only in the Capital, but in the whole country.
"It is a very good initiative, because many of the passers-by should be taught how to cross the street, as they do it in illegal places."

According to IGP, in 2017, in Republic of Moldova there were 4 000 thefts from houses, 1 200 from cars, 1 216 pick pocketing actions and 1 337 of minors abuses. Anyway, people of the law say that the number of cases decreased with almost 16%, according to the same period of 2016.
