Elena Hrenova used to be a PCRM municipal adviser between 2011 and 2014. After the parliamentary elections of 2014, she became socialist deputy.

When she became Parliament member, she indicated an income of 17,000 lei from municipal councilor's allowances. Despite the low incomes, according to financial reports submitted to the CEC, Elena Hrenova donated for its new political party, almost 154,000 lei as president of the Equity Society. The difference between the declared revenues and the donations made for the PSRM amounted to over 136,000 lei.

Other irregularities were also found in other income statements submitted by Hrenova. In 2013, when she was still a PCRM counselor, she declared revenues without specifying their value.

Only in the property section indicated two apartments, the first of 43 square meters, and the second of 46 square meters. She avoided to specify the value of the two dwellings. In 2014, Hrenova wrote in the income statement other real estate than in 2013 - an apartment of 17 square meters and another one of 24 square meters acquired in 2002 - without specifying what she did with those mentioned a year before.

In the same section, the deputy also passed a 43-square-meter dwelling house. According to avere.md, Hrenova presented erroneous information also in 2013, 2014 and 2016 regarding the surface and the year of the acquired real estate.
