Igor Dodon after year of being President: Our relations with Russia are excellent
In his first mandate, at each two months, Igor Dodon the President of Moldova was visiting Vladimir Putin. Those are one of the statistics announced by the chief of the country in his final press conference.
Thus, the relations between Moldova and Russia were qualified as excellent. On the other side, Igor Dodon couldn't explain why didn't he pay visits to Ukraine or Romania. The chief of the country says the presidency has the trust of the citizens, but the main problem is that somebody tries to block his activity.
"The institutional conflicts have the target to take the control of the Presidency", said Igor Dodon, the President of Moldova.
"The Presidency was placed on the politic segment. The habit of Dodon being a politician had a bad impact on his good relations with the Parliamentary majority. According to the constitution, the president is a mediator", said Dumitru Diacov, the honor president of PDM.
Dodon says in 2017, the Supreme Security Council's activity is ineffective.
"I want to recognize the activity of the Supreme Security Council is boycotted and blocked by the majority of the Government and Parliament", said Igor Dodon, the President of the coutntry.
Instead, Igor Dodon boasts the relationship with the Russian Federation is excellent. According to the relations with Romania, Igor Dodon didn't explain why he haven't met Klaus Iohannis, as he promised he will.
"I addressed an official invitation to Iohannis. We are available, when he finds time, we will meet. When the time is right, we will pay a visit to Romania", said Igor Dodon.
The chief of the country says the 2018 year will be a more difficult one, because of the Parliamentary elections. Also, the President didn't miss the opportunity to say something against NATO. He promised he will close the recently created NATO office in Chisinau. In 2017, Igor Dodon signed 464 decrees and offered 237 distinctions.
