The state president Igor Dodon, which is the Socialist's former leader, excludes Moldova's possibility to become a Member State of the European Union. The declaration was made yesterday within a talk-show of PSRM related television.
The affirmations made by the state president have raised the tensions in the Kozak Alliance. If in all the official visits from abroad the PM Maia Sandu and the Deputy PM Andrei Nastase are making assurances about the European vector of the state and declare the European Union accession as their objective, Igor Dodon has cut off all their EU accession plans.'We never saidthat our country will be an EU member. Our right-wing partners say to submit an EU accession over two or three years. Where do they want to submit it I think of following our national interest. In the same time, we want to improve our relations with Russia', declared Igor Dodon.
The submitting of the EU accession application is one of the main electoral promises of ACUM Block at the parliamentary elections of February 24.
Recently, the Deputy President of the ACUM Block Andrei Nastase, declared at a Romanian television set that the Government led by Maia Sandu has planned the EU accession application until the end of their four-year mandate.
Andrei Nastase hasn't commented the declarations made by Igor Dodon.
