President Igor Dodon is happy that PL and PLDM didn't vote for introducing the European Integration phrase in the Constitution. At the same time, Dodon considers that not event the pro-European parliamentarians believe in the European vector. Igor Dodon wrote his opinion on a social media page.
"Today, we have all seen that nobody believes in the European Integration concept, not even the pro-European MPs. It is not right for the ideology of some parties to become the state ideology, because this breaks the pluralism", wrote Igor Dodon on his Facebook page.
Also, Igor Dodon accepts the challenge of the PDM to organize a referendum on this topic.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the voting for this draft law, initiated by the Democrats and PPE was postponed after the debates from the last week.
Within the discussions, that took three hours, the liberal democrats, the liberals, the socialists and the communists said that they are against this change in the Constitution.
