Igor Dodon sees only two scenarios for the political future in the Parliament: either the current majority remains to carry out its mandate until the end, or early elections are held. The statement belongs to the president Igor Dodon, informal leader of the PSRM, and was made on "Piatnița s Anatoliem Golea" program, RTR Moldova. 

The president, however, does not rule out the fact that one of the parties of ACUM bloc could leave the current governing coalition.

"A positive outcome of the possible parliamentary elections would be that the number of Democrats in the Parliament would be much smaller, while representatives of Șor Party would no longer be there, most likely. But is it worth it to risk our chances? It is not certain that such a coalition could be created after the elections,” says Igor Dodon.

Moreover, President said that that if the Socialists had wanted, they would have created themselves the parliamentary majority in a week according to the model that existed in the previous Parliament, but the Socialist Party does not want it. According to him, socialists will not do this because they are "different", IPN reports.

"We will not do this because we are different, because we did not take the risk for this purpose at the beginning of June, when we accepted to create this majority," said the head of state.

At the same time, Igor Dodon says that another MP will join the ranks of the Socialists soon. The president referred to the elections that are organized in the four uninominal constituencies in parallel with the local election of October 20. "I believe that the socialist group’s ranks will grow only due to such situations - when snap parliamentary elections will be held in the constituencies," said the head of state.
