In Iasi, hundreds of people gave their farewells to SMURD HEROES
Colleagues, families, students, patients, and citizens came to St Spiridon Hospital in Iasi. In the church of the medical unit was present Diana Cimpoesu, SMURD Iasi coordinator, Raed Arafat, the State Secretary, and other officials.
Hundreds of doctors, SMURD, ISU staff and staff from other institutions came to St Spiridon Hospital to give their farewells to the three members of SMURD chopper crew, dead in a rescue mission in Moldova.
After the memorial service, nurse Gabriel Sandu, pilot Doru Gavril and physician Mihaela Dumea will be buried at the cemetery Buna Vestire. The fourth member of the crew, pilot Voicu Socae, was brought on Friday evening to Bacau, where is his family.
In his message, Teofan, the metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, said that it is a difficult moment for the families of the victims, as it is for all who knew them personally.
