The "Stone of Peace" sculpture was built in Chisinau in memory of the victims of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

In the Republic of Moldova was built the sculptural composition "Stone of Peace" for commemorating the victims of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but also in the context of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldovan-Japanese relations. The government today approved the draft resolution on the establishment of sculpture

It is located at Chisinau, in the yard of State University of Moldova, and sends a message of peace, but also has a symbolic character in the bilateral relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Japan. Expenditures for execution, sculpture building and landscaping are covered by donations and sponsorships.

Such sculptural compositions are found in more than 100 states. They are exhibited in museums, parks or other public areas, built at the initiative of the "Peace of Peace" Association in Japan.
