The one-off financial support granted to pensioners as well as beneficiaries of social allowances that does not exceed 3000 lei, will be increased from 700 to 900 lei. The announcement was made recently during the Government meeting.

The increased financial support will include the beneficiaries of old-age pensions, disability pensions, survivors' pensions, seniority pensions, pensions for some categories of civil aviation employees, pensions for civil servants, pensions for some categories of employees in the field of culture, pensions of the military in term and their family members, pensions of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the damage at CAE Chernobyl. 

The measure will enter into force on 1 October 2020.

Moreover, pensions and some state social benefits will be indexed by 1.07 from October 1, the indexation coefficient representing the inflation rate registered in the first half of the current year.

Also yesterday, the Government voted the Draft Law for amending the Law on the state social insurance budget for 2020, which provides financial means for paying the single financial support in an increased amount of 900 lei.
