The volume of industrial production registered an increase of more than six per cent in the first three months of the year, compared to the same period in 2017. Statistical data shows that the largest increase, of 9 per cent, was registered by the manufacturing industry.

Leaders are electrical equipment companies that have grown by more than 54 percent, paper factories with a 25 percent share, and leather processing enterprises, which had an advance of 23 percent.

On the other hand, the volume of medicines made in Moldova was down by 31%. Also, the machinery and the chemical industry also fell.
