The Azerbaijani-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission will not gather for a meeting this year.
Azerbaijani sources say that it would be ill-advised to hold a meeting after the recent direct presidential elections in Moldova in 2016.
"The new president of Moldova should take office, determine the new policy of the Moldovan state and the new agenda of Azerbaijani-Moldovan relationships," the source said.
The Moldovan side has declared readiness for the Commission’s meeting, back in September, but now it has transferred such expectations for December 2016.
The Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Cooperation held its last meeting in 2012, ABC.az reporting.
