International Monetary Fund improved economic growth forecast for Moldova by 3.8 percent

The International Monetary Fund has improved Moldova's economic growth forecast for this year. If in April the IMF estimates GDP growth of 3.5 percentage points, the institution forecasts in the new report that our country's economy will grow by 3.8 percent.
Data published in the World Economic Outlook also shows that inflation will fall by about one percentage point and will be 3.6 percent. Specialists from the International Monetary Fund are also optimistic about Moldova's economy for next year. They estimate that GDP will remain at an increase of 3.8 percentage points.
Worldwide, however, the IMF has less favorable forecasts. During this year, but also in 2019, the economy will decline by 0.2 percentage points and will reach 3.7 percent.
