Ion Chicu: 3,000 loans will be granted for First House Program in 2019
At least 3,000 new loans will be awarded next year in the First House Program. The money for compensations for budgets and families with children was provided in the state budget for 2019. This announcement was made by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Ion Chicu, in the show "In the Spotlight".
According to Ion Chicu, if this year was granted around a thousand credits, in 2019, First Home program will become more bidding.
"For the next year, we have planned in the state budget financial sources for these compensations under the program. We calculated that this money would be enough if around 3,000 credits for "First Home" were to be granted in 2019. 6.4%, and next year it will not be increased", said State Secretary of Finance of the Ministry of Finance, Ion Chicu.
In the show, Ion Chicu also presented data on revenue growth in the public budget this year. According to him, the increase will cover the expenses related to the salary increase for the state budget, but also for other social payments.
"We continue to work to reduce administrative pressure on the business environment. A draft tax cut has already been prepared, first of all, we are talking about local taxes", said State Secretary of Finance, Ion Chicu.
Chicu was also asked about his priorities, if he would be appointed Minister of Finance.
"According to data for 11 months, the national public budget revenues exceeded the plan by 1 billion 875 million lei, and the increase is 4.53 billion lei compared to the same period of 2017. Thus, even if we did this reform with tax cuts, we have higher incomes than those predicted", said State Secretary of State for Finance, Ion Chicu.
Last week, Prime Minister Pavel Filip proposed Ion Chicu to the head of the Ministry of Finance. The decision was unanimously supported by the working Party at the Democratic Party of Moldova.
