Dumitru Roibu's candidacy for the interim General Prosecutor position is following to be discussed today within the Parliament's Law Commission for Naming and Immunity, announced Sergiu Litvinenco.
Asked if the Parliament gave up the contest for this naming, Litvinenco declared for Publika TV that there was no contest.'The Commission decided that Dumitru Roibu fits the best this position. The law doesn't provide a contest for the interim position', declared Sergiu Litvinenco.
We remind that last Saturday, the Parliament was inviting interested persons to submit their files for this position.
The way of organizing the contest was harshly criticized by multiple experts and politicians. That because the announcement was published on the Saturday morning and the interested ones had only three days to submit their files at the Parliament's Law Commission of Naming and Immunity.
