The head of state went to the Ministry of Defense for inspection, and after the talks there he came to the conclusion that the soldiers could not be penalized because they met the order of the superiors.
"I think that the retrograde must be and will be the leaders, not the simple military officers. Simple officers are not guilty, they have executed orderly to the seniors who did not execute the order, they will be penalized, you will see " said the country's president, Igor Dodon.
Only Deputy Defense Minister, Gheorghe Galbura, can not be punished by the president because he is subordinated not to him but to the prime minister.
"The order is signed by me, not by the president, so I assume all the responsibility, only the soldiers who did the order, I acted according to the legislation in force and I did not violate anything", Deputy Minister of Defense, Gheorghe Galbur.
Igor Dodon opposed the participation of a Moldovan contingent of 57 soldiers at the "Rapid Trident" training course in Ukraine. In the end, they came to exercises, based on a Government decision.
