Iurie Leanca: ''Future of my country is the European Union''
European deputies urge Republic of Moldova to continue the reforms and the dialogue with the EU for the election year. ''We leave from Strasbourg knowing that the relationship between EU and Moldova ia stronger'', said Iurie Leanca.
Within the fifth Reunion of the Parliamentary Committee of Association and European Union, a delegation leaded by Iurie Leanca discussed with the European deputies about the reforms from the Association Agenda.
On Wednesday and Thursday within a debate, they discussed about the implementation of the reforms within the Association Agreement.
Within the discussions, the election system reform was approved too. The deputies from the European Parliament talked about the importance of being unbiased while naming the election circumscriptions and the composition of the CEC.
The Vice Minister of the Parliament, Iurie Leanca declared that he is sure that the relationship between Republic of Moldova and European Union is stronger now.
''The final target is to make Republic of Moldova more unite, stable and strong. EU is our main partner in this direction, I certainly know that they will help us to realize all the reforms.They will open the door of progress to our country'', said Iurie Leanca.
The euro Parliamentary Andi Cristea said the discussion with Moldovan deputies were productive.
''Only through dialogue, we can resolve all the problems. We talked about everything: from the election system to the bank fraud, from the reform of public administration, to the cooperation in the energy sphere'', said Andi Cristea.
At the end of the meeting, they found out that Republic of Moldova should make all the reforms suggested by the EU. Also, they talked that Moldova's authorities and the EU institutions should collaborate to harness all the potential of the Association Agreement.
The parliamentarians asked the Parliamentary Meeting Euronest and the Summit of the Est Partnership to be ambitious and pragmatic, so the citizens of the Est Partnership can benefit from all the EU's successes. An example of this is the elimination of the roaming rates.
