Iurie Leanca paid an official visit to the Czech Republic

Between September 18 and 19 2018, the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Leanca is in an official visit to the Czech Republic.
At the meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Lukáš Kaucký and Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies, Vojtěch Pikal, discussed the current state of bilateral relations and the evolution of the political dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
The need to maintain intense dynamics of relations with the EU institutions and its Member Countries, regional security issues, including developments in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the dynamics of bilateral economic relations were addressed by Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Lukáš Kaucký. Deputy Minister Lukáš Kaucký reiterated his country's support for the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, both at the political level and through the implementation of the Czech development assistance projects.
During the meeting with the Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Vojtěch Pikal, bilateral interparliamentary cooperation, support for the parliamentary dimension of the European path of the Republic of Moldova, as well as judicial reform processes in both states were discussed.
Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca presented to the interlocutors the internal developments regarding the implementation of the Association Agreement, the reform agenda of the Republic of Moldova and the positive dynamics of our country's exports in the context of the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the European Union (DCFTA). Also, appreciation was given for the ongoing development assistance provided to the Republic of Moldova in the Czech Republic's Bilateral Development Cooperation Program with the Republic of Moldova 2018-2023.
The agenda also includes meetings with senior officials such as the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the RC Parliament, Radek Vondráček, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, former Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek, as well as the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Senate Security Council Parliament, Frantisek Bublan and President of the EU Affairs Committee in the Senate, Václav Hampl.
