Japan offered grant worth 230.000 USD for Moldova. What are the money destined for
Japan Government offered Modlova 230 thousand USD to modernization two educational institutions from Sraseni and Cahul, but also Rezina district hospital. The financial support takes part of Kusanone program that targets to improve the educational and medical services.
The Japan Government allocated over 89 thousand USD for Maria Cibotari art school from Cahul.
"Our school needs to be repaired, because it is very old", mentioned Natalia Slipcenco, director of Maria Cibotari art school.
The kidnergarten from Sireti village, Straseni district benefited of a grant worth 65 thousand USD. The authorities will repair the roof and the AC of the institution, as it was last repaired 50 years ago.
The director of the institution says that the lack of sewerage covered the walls of the institution with mold.
"We faced great issues two years ago, because of the specific smell", said Vera Vranceanu, director of Sireti No.1 kidnergarten.
79 thousand USD will be offered for Rezina District Hospital.
"This reform will have a positive impact over citizens' health. I am sure that the quality of the medical services will increase", pointed out Nina Postu, director of Rezina District Hospital.
The officials thanked the Japan Ambassador for Kusanone program initiated in 2008.
"This project becomes more and more famous in the rural spaces", mentioned Monica Babuc, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research.
"I am so thankful for this project, because in such a way we will benefit of a better medical system", said Viorica Dumbraveanu, state secretary at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
At his turn, the Japan Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova highlighted that they will always support our country.
"Some of the medical equipment from our hospitals is old. Also, the kindergartens need to be repaired", said Masanobu Yoshii, Japan Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.
Starting 2008, since Kusanone program was launched, Japan funded 55 projects in our country, especially in education field. The total sum of the investments reached 4 million and a half USD.
