Japan will support projects of modernizing educational and medical institutions adept by Chisinau City Hall
Chisinau General Mayor Ruslan Codreanu met with Masanobu Yoshii, Japan's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the opportunity to initiate the cooperation relations between the Chisinau City Hall and the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Moldova. The Interim General Mayor was interested in launching technical assistance projects for Chisinau as part of the Cooperation Agreement between the Moldovan and Japanese Governments.
"I hope you accept Chisinau's request to support projects for educational and health institutions. At the first stage, we want to provide with equipment and equipments the methodical practices of the school institutions for children with special needs in the capital", noted Ruslan Codreanu, the interim general mayor of Chisinau.
Japanese Ambassador Masanobu Yoshii thanked the Interim Mayor for his first visit to Chisinau City Hall and expressed his willingness to support the municipality's proposals in the fields of education, health and the initiation of training programs for civil servants.
His Excellency, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, urged the local public administration in Chisinau to apply within the "KUSANONE" financing program of the Government of Japan for the modernization of the municipal medical institutions.
