Juri Ratas: Moldova is one of the priority countries to cooperate with
Juri Ratas, the prime minister of Estonia is in a working visit in Moldova. The official had a meeting with Pavel Filip and discussed about the copperation between the countries.
Juri Ratas says he believes in the European path of the Republic of Moldova and our country can count on their support.
"Thank you for coming. I am very glad to be in this visit. We are cooperating for a couple of hours. I am here just for a couple of hours, but I have already noticed that Moldova looks a lot like Estonia.
Especially, our we have a similar history and similar people. Moldova is one of the priority countries for us.
We have 18 active projects here and other 10 that will be implemented. Our projects target to develop our country.
Also, we want to cooperate on the security field. The students are welcomed in Estonia. I wan glad to see that Moldova's path to EU is developing.
The previous year, when I was staying in front of the European Parliament as a prime minister, I said:"I hope that one day, Ukraine can stay here and have the same role."
I hope the same will happen with Moldova. You can count on our support on the European path. We managed and you will also manage. You should believe in yourself and in your potential. We put our trust in you. We will support you to develop a better society.
I want you to have a society that obeys the democracy rules, the state of law and provided the fundamental liberties for its citizens", said Juri Ratas, the prime minister of Estonia.
The prime minister of Estonia will also attend meetings with Iurie Leanca, the deputy prime minister for European Integration and Igor Dodon, the president of the country. The official will leave tomorrow.
