Chapels or moral-spiritual centers opened on the territory of the schools and kindergartens in the capital operate without a building permit from the municipality. The subject was discussed at the City Hall today, after information on the social networks revealed that there is an unauthorized center of moral and spiritual education at the 150th kindergarten in Chisinau, where baptisms sometimes take place. This is confirmed by the kindergarten director himself.
"It is in the group a mother who has four children and was not baptized, I asked, Prist, if possible. He borrowed the brioche and baptized them", Valentina Gâscă, the director of the Kindergarten no. 150 in Chisinau.
"Authorizations in the direct sense have not been. Whether it was built not what has been authorized, or that the destination has changed in the course of time", said Nistor Grozavu, deputy mayor of Chisinau.
"The law stipulates that only educational institutions are to be built on the territory of the school, and not otherwise," said Valeriu Bogdan, the head of the City Hall's Legal Department.
While the Metropolitan Church of Moldova claims that the chapels are working on a partnership with the educational institutions, the City Education Education Department states the opposite.
"At the stage we are, there are no regulations or partnership agreements, so these centers work as they see fit. We have identified quite a number of educational institutions", said Rodica Guţu, head of the Directorate Education.
The interim president has called for the suspension of any chapel on the territory of educational institutions until a regulation is in place.
"Let us ask for access to educate children and give them education according to the code of education. Let us not wake up tomorrow in the territory of each institution or schools with institutions, I call them ecclesiastical", said Ruslan Codreanu, interim mayor of Chisinau.
Chapters that have already been opened will work normally, and once the regulation has been issued, their work will be reviewed.
