The schools from the country are in need of Romanian teacher. This school year began with a deficit of 116 teachers. At the "Mihai Viteazul" Theoretical High School from Tomai village, Leova district, biology specialists and primary school teachers also teach Romanian.
Aliona Ciumac is a biology teacher for six years. Since September, she has been forced to teach eight-grade students and Romanian.
"I had to, because the situation that was created in school left two young Romanian language teachers abroad and I was forced to take these classes in Romanian because they are not specialists", said Aliona Ciumac, a professor at "Mihai Viteazul" Theoretical High School.
In this situation there are also two primary school teachers. They teach the Romanian language cumulus to fifth children.
"It's very hard, not being a matter specialist, it's very difficult." From the first day we started teaching, I felt that there was a gap, a rupture, "said Svetlana Canaţui, a lecturer at Mihai Viteazul High School.
In high school there is only one Romanian teacher who has the necessary professional training. She had to go out early on maternity leave.
"I am a Romanian language and literature specialist only in the 9th grade, because we have a program to be respected and the exams that are waiting for us at the door now," said Zinaida Constantinescu, a teacher at the "Michael the Brave" Theoretical High School.
Parents are unhappy, but they accept the situation because they have no choice.
"The sixth is a professor who teaches computer science. We promised that next year there will be changes, Romanian teachers will come," a parent said.
The Deputy Director of the educational institution says that he addressed the District Education Department, which failed to find young specialists.
"We have three years, three years ago, when the last teacher came to the institution, young. There were three, four years," said Tatiana Cioban, Deputy Director of the "Mihai Viteazul" Theoretical Lyceum .
According to the Ministry of Education, the 2018-2019 study year will begin with a deficit of 2042 teachers, with 178 more than in the past. Authorities are trying to attract young specialists to schools. Those who go to teach in the villages receive in the first three years money for rent and a unique indemnity of 45 thousand lei.
