Last day for nominees to apply collected signatures to Central Election Comission
Today is the last day when the ones who want to become head of state may present the signatures collected by initiative groups. Until now, Central Election Commission registered five nominees in the presidential race.
They are the DP leader, Marian Lupu, the liberal Mihai Ghimpu, PEP nominee, Iurie Leanca, candidate of DA Party, Andrei Nastase, and the representative of Ravnopravie, Inna Popenco.
Other three have submitted the subscription lists and are waiting for the CEC decision. They are the PAS nominee, Maia Sandu, the nominee of Our Party, Dmitri Ciubasenco, and the socialist Igor Dodon.
Tomorrow is the official start of the electoral campaign, and for 30 days the nominees can promote openly their image and messages.
