The law on Government reformation was promulgated by President Igor Dodon. Its implementation benefits Executive's expenditures, as the number of ministries will be reduced from 16 to 9.

Government reform was recently voted in Parliament. The document enables the prime minister to modify the list of ministries by simplified procedure, without amending the Law.

However, any change will be subject to Parliament approval. Likewise, political functions are delimited by administrative functions, and vice-ministers are excluded.
