Legislators head back to work. When the parliament's spring session starts
Parliament's spring session will start on February 4, 2019. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has signed a provision to this effect.
PMs will resume work in parliament's working bodies next week.
On Wednesday, February 6, a meeting of the Standing Bureau of Parliament will be held to determine the date of the first plenary session of the spring session.
According to Parliament's Rules of Procedure, the Legislature meets in two ordinary sessions per year. The spring session begins in February and last until the end of July.
The autumn session starts in September works until the end of December.
The parliamentary term of the 20th legislature expired on 30 November 2018. According to the provisions of the Constitution, the mandate of the Parliament is extended until the legal meeting of the new composition.
During this period, Parliament may adopt ordinary laws, decisions, etc., may organize hearings, consultations and perform parliamentary scrutiny.
