Lessons for future mothers. School was opened in Criuleni maternity ward
The first school within a maternity ward was opened in Criuleni. Now, the future parents from Criuleni and Dubasari will benefit of assistance. The pregrant will be informed about the changes in their own bodies before they will give birth and after.
Mariana Lungu, 26 will have a daughter. The young says that the first pregnancy was harder, as she didn't know that much about her condition when she was pregnant.
"It is a pity that I wasn't well-informed", said Mariana Lungu.
Zinaida Cemag came at the lessons for the future mothers for the first time. The woman says that it is important to find out information as a future mother.
"We talked about the pain during the pregnancy", said Zinaida Cemag, future mother.
At this school, the future parents will find out the difference between the natural birth and the caesarian one.
"I hope that the number of births will increase, due to this project", said Nicolae Croitor, director of Criuleni district hospital.
The cost of the project is 20 thousand Euro, money offered by the European Union within a project implemented by PNUD.
"We care about people, this is why we decided to fund this project. I am glad that this will help the citizens of Moldova", said Marco Gemmer, EU representative in Moldova.
At the event also came Valentina Bulica, the minister of Health, Social Protection and Labor. She talked about the importance of such projects in Moldova.
"All these projects are for children and young families. We want them to stay in Moldova", said Valentina Buliga.
Yearly, over six hundred women give birth at the Criuleni maternity ward. Such a school will be opened in Tiraspol by the end of September.
