Liberals back joint pro-European candidate for elections in Chisinau
The Liberal Democratic Party supports the idea of a joint pro-European candidate for elections in Chisinau.
The subject was discussed yesterday at the meeting of the Political Bureau of the party, and the final decision will be taken shortly.
Previously, the Democratic Party of Moldova announced that it would vote for a single candidate for the pro-European parties.
PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc said that this would be the only real chance to win the election.
So far, at least five parties have announced their candidates: PPDA leader Andrei Năstase, Liberal candidate Valeriu Munteanu.
The PSRM forwarded Ion Ceban, the ŞOR Party nominated Reghina Apostolova.
Democraţia Acasă President Vasile Costiuc, announced that he would run for the Mayor position.
