Lithuanian specialists to help Moldova harmonize postal legislation with European standards
Experts from Lithuania will visit the Moldovan capital Chisinau next week to provide advice on the preparation of the country's regulatory framework for the provision of postal services in line with EU legislation and best practice.
The event is organised by the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX) in cooperation with the Moldovan National Regulatory Agency in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI).
During the five-day mission, the experts will meet with the ANRCETI staff guide through the postal market liberalisation, EU practices on postal fees determination, as well as charges and compensation related to the provision of Universal Postal Services. They will also present mechanisms to address customer complaints and for dispute resolution.
TAIEX is a demand-driven tool that supports partner countries with the approximation of national laws, regulations and quality standards to those of EU Member States in the framework of Cooperation or Association agreements signed with the EU. In the Eastern Neighbourhood, TAIEX works with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
