Employees of the Chisinau Police Department and IP found a hemp land in Buiucani sector under the special operation MAC 2019.

In the investigations, the policemen established that the hemp land was processed by a 30-year-old man living in the Truseni village, who was renting the agricultural land. The man was taken to the Police Inspectorate to determine all the circumstances.

The plantations were pulled, lifted, sealed and sent to forensic lab for expertise. Currently, the suspect is investigated in a state of freedom and, depending on the results of his expertise, he may be prosecuted and punished with a fine of up to 20,000 lei or unpaid community work for up to 100 hours.

The operation MAC 2018 was initiated with the aim of combating illicit drug trafficking.
