Măgdăceşti town church, consecrated after reconstruction. Bishop Vladimir held divine service
Orthodox Christians celebrate today "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" religious holiday known as St. Mary. In many places the village day is celebrated, and in Măgdăceşti village the church's reonstruction that lasted several years was consecrated.
The Metropolitan of Chisinau and of all Moldova officiated the service in the place of the rebuilted worship and blessed the locals.
"We thank the natives, because they are primarily those who help the ascension of most holy places" , said Metropolitan Bishop of Moldova.
During the consecration service, the faithful said they felt peace and harmony in their souls:
"An renaissance in healthcare, and power and everything. A hope. That's our hope, that's all life."
"I think every Christian has different emotion. And this gives us strength to fight every day, to go forward."
"It's a great event for our village, our church. We are satisfied that there was an event so important to us."
Hundreds of believers from Măgdăceşti village attended the divine service: "It is important that a lot of people came, generous people who truly believe in Jesus, believe in Moldova."
Locals prayed to Mother of God for health and wellbeing, "May God help us years forward, for our country to be peaceful and people to be blessed with good."
