The political partners of Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase voted against the entry of Romania to the Schengen area. Andi Cristea MEP wrote that among the ones who didn't support our neighboring country there are also France, German, Switzerland MEPs, except the ones from the Liberal Alliance and Democratic Alliance.

Yesterday, the European parliament voted for the entry of Romania and Bulgaria to the Schengen area. In this sense, 514 MEPs voted for, 107 - against and 38 didn't vote at all. The final decision will be taken by the Council of the European Union.

In May, the European Parliament voted a resolution of Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase, which recommended the European Commission to stop offering macro financial assistance to our country.
