Maia Sandu attacks Moldova's strategic partners. PAS leader calls EBRD delegates oligarchs
PAS leader Maia Sandu is harshly attacking the strategic partners of our country. She names EBRD representatives and foreign companies that intend to buy shares of Moldova Agroindbank oligarchs.
Moreover, Maia Sandu accused the Minister of Finance, Octavian Armașu of spending public money in the wind.
"We have seen how this minister manages to find money to satisfy all the lusts of government. We are talking about the hundreds of millions of lei that the Ministry of Finance allocates to buy shares of the banks, then sell these shares to these oligarchs," he said. Maia Sandu.
The statements were made by PAS leader in a protest in front of Finance Ministry, attended by about 20 people. MAIB sold 41 percent of its shares to the state through the Public Services Agency.
The Ministry of Finance recently signed a pre-contract for sale of these shares to an international consortium of EBRD, Horizon Capital and Lithuanian investment company Invalda.
We remind that the National Bank was in dispute with the shareholders of Moldova Agroindbank, which accused them of concerted actions behind which would be raider no. 1 from CIS, Veaceslav Platon.
It all happened in 2016 when the 20 shareholders of the institution bought 40 percent of the shares. These were blocked by the National Bank, but last year Moldova Agroindbank won the case in this process.
