A man took 4 000 lei as bribery from an apartment owner assuring the victim of having influence upon the members of the commission on legalizing construction works.

According to the investigation, the man requested money in exchange of arranging the signing of a final agreement by the commission, without analyzing the documents.

Under NAC's control were offered various amount of money, that ended up in the possession of the site managed.

The suspect who extorted money and the site manager are investigated for influence peddling. They confessed and returned the money. Members of the commission will be further investigated.

If found guilty, the suspects risk a 6 year sentence, or a fine to 200 000 lei.
