A 38-year-old man from the Capital was arrested on suspicion of having stolen an 18-year-old's bag, while the latter was shopping in a supermarket from Ciocana sector.

According to the victim, the bag contained money and goods worth around 3 200 lei.

The young men left his bag out of sight for a few moments and the suspect supposedly used the chance and took it. He was caught on surveillance cameras leaving with the teenager's bag. During questioning the suspect confessed.

The man now risks an up to 13 thousand lei fine, unpaid 120 to 240 hours of community service, or up to 2 years of imprisonment.
