Mysterious death at Albina village, Cimişlia district. On Thursday, 5th October, the 46-year-old villager was found shot in the head at the edge of the forest located between Mireni and Albina village. 

A hunting rifle with two cartridges was found near the corpse.

The police has not managed to establish the circumstances of death yet.

"Villagers said that they heard a gun shot at around 4 pm, afterwards finding the deceased man not far from we are located" reporter from PUBLIKA TV, Doina Ciorescu said.

People have addressed to the Mayor, who called the police.

"Police officers that arrived to the sight have established that the man passed away due to a head injury, while a hunting rifle was found nearby. An investigation begun in order to establish all circumstances that resulted in the man's death" press officer from Cimişlia, Tatiana Solotcaia declared.

According to the police, the man lacked a permit allowing him to own a tubular weapon.

Despite this, local hunters confirmed that the man often went after games.

"He was a believer and never drunk alcohol, but it doesn't change the fact that he illegally owned a weapon. He was a poacher and was caught and warned multiple times."

"-He often caused troubles on the hills. What do you mean? -He was poaching and we caught and warned him multiple time, still it is a pity what happened. He had many enemies, but none that would actually shoot him."

As a result, all hunters from the village were called to hand over their guns.

Relatives and local residents mourn the man's passing.

"He was a good man, never caused trouble. We do not known what happened to him, but he was a good man."

"-He had enemies? -He never complained to me about such thing. He liked to keep things private."

The deceased lived alone for a long time, after divorcing. His only daughter has arrived to the village the send her father on his final path.
