A man from Soroca was condemned to 15 years behind bars, after burning his lover.

According to the attorneys, in November 2016, the drunk man has begun fighting with the victim out of jealousy. After the conflict he splashed his lover with fuel and set her on fire, resulting in the lady getting 9th, 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The 20-year-old woman has also suffered a miscarriage. 

For attempted murder, the 24-year-old man will spend the next 15 years behind bars.

The sentence can be appealed.
