A man from Tohatin says he treats the tuberculosis with dog fat and meat. The man practices the popular medicine since 1985. Dorel Sendrea says he found out the secret when he was in prison. Since then, he killed over 100 dogs.

"I go to a man who has 3-5 small dogs and I ask him to give me them. I take them and raise till they are seven months old and then I kill them to take their fat", said Dorel Sendrea.

Presently, the man takes care of two dogs.

Dorel Sendrea says he is well-known in the whole Moldova. The man says many people appealed him.

The residents of the village are reserved about the man's method:

"I have heard about this method, but, I know it is bad to kill an animal."

"It is a soul, we should't kill dogs, especially, to treat the tuberculosis with them."

On the other side, the doctors assure us that the tuberculosis can't be treated this way.

"Without anti-tuberculosis medicines, the tuberculosis can't be treated", said Constantin Iavorschi, doctor.

The doctor started to be followed by the audience after he posted a video, where he shows how he kills a dog. The watchers made a complain at the police.

"The man was heard by the police. All the materials were sent to the National Agency for Food Safety. They should make the decision on this case", mentioned Natalia Stati, press officer of the Capital Police. 

The case made the ones who take care of the animals' rights to show their displeasure.

"We hope that the authorities will punish such cases not only with fines, but also with years in prison. The man can't be stopped in another way", said Karl Luganov, animal right defender.

Presently, the cruelty against animals is punished with fine in sum of two thousand lei.
