MEMORIES ABOUT HOLOCAUST. A film about Jewish fate in Bessarabia was launched in Chisinau
A film relaying the fate of the Bessarabian Jews from the 40s of the last century was recently launched in Chisinau. The premiere of the film took place in the context of the Holocaust Victims Remembrance Day. At the Jewish Cultural Center in the Capital, officials and ordinary people honored the memory of the Jews killed during the Second World War.
The 30-minute film is a production made by Moldova, in collaboration with Israel and the United States. The film is also being broadcast in several schools.
Launching participants watched the tragic scenes of seven decades ago with tears.
"I deplore this day my father who was shot in the Bolgrad camp".
"Every year, we meet in this cultural center and the monument to lay flowers".
"Today, we share the same pain, we remember those who have lost their lives so that today peace is in the world".
Among the guests was the state secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Andrei Chistol.
"We will have events that will also be organized on historical monuments related to Jewish history and the Holocaust, we will have more informative plates to be launched, installed to mark those tragic places for Jewish history and the Holocaust", said Andrei Chistol , the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education.
On January 29, the Parliament, Government and Jewish Community of Moldova will hold a series of activities dedicated to the Holocaust Victims Remembrance Day, including photo exhibitions and roundtables.
