Moldova's reform agenda was discussed at the meetings of MEP Victor Boştinaru with Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, the President of the National PACE delegation, Marian Lupu, as well as with the representatives of the civil society.
Andrian Candu reconfirmed Parliament's commitment to implement the reforms agreed with the development partners and expected by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, Andrian Candu welcomed the maintenance of the Republic of Moldova in the list of priority countries, which enjoy democratic support from the European Parliament. The President of Parliament noted the constructive messages expressed by the European officials at the 4th meeting of the Association Council of the Republic of Moldova - European Union, which took place on May 3, 2018, in Brussels.
At his turn, Marian Lupu referred to the initiatives promoted for the position of our country within the cooperation platform of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly, placing more emphasis on the countries that implement Association Agreements with the EU. As a result, the Ad Hoc Working Group for the Eastern Partnership countries was created, which signed Association Agreements with the EU and a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament on the Eastern Partnership was held.
The members of the Working Group on Better Media Legislation, academics, political analysts and members of the National Council for Participation were present at the meeting with civil society.
MEP Victor Boştinaru appreciated the progress made by Moldova on the European integration path and encouraged the authorities to continue implementing the reform agenda.
