Prime Minister, Mihai Tudose had a phone discussion on Thursday with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk about the Republic of Moldova and sent to the European leader that Romania would continue its role as the most involved state member in attracting Moldova on the European route, writes News.ro.
According to them, Tusk said it was not just a promise from the Romanian Prime Minister what they discussed at the Brussels meeting earlier this month.
"Romania continues the assistance programs with the Republic of Moldova. We support the pro-European route of Moldova and Romania continue to play the European and the most involved member state in attracting Moldova on the European path," government sources told News.ro.
Accordingly, the discussion is part of the regular consultation mechanism established with European leaders during the visit of Prime Minister Mihai Tudose to Brussels.
