Million USD given to Moldova by Soros foundation in 2014 used by Maia Sandu to create PAS
The million USD that Iurile Leanca former prime minister received in 2014 from George Soros for the modernization of the education was used by Maia Sandu, who was the Education minister by this time for an ad campaign.
Maia Sandu used the money to buy some NGOs and experts. According to an investigation realized by voceabasarabiei.md, Maia Sandu used the experts to create and promote PAS party.
The intermediaries of this scheme were the Institute of Public Politics and Pro Didactica whose leaders have ties with PAS.
Thus, a couple of NGOs, among whom, the Institute of Public Politics and Pro Didactica received over 330 thousand USD. Oasu Nantoi, PAS deputy is project director of the Institute of Public Politics and Arcadie Barbarosie, the husband of Dianiela Terzi-Barbarosie, PAS member is the director of IPP.
In 2014, Pro Didactica NGO leaded by Arcadie Barbarosie, now, its director is Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, deputy of PAS.
Within an answer for our TV channel, PAS recognized that Soros foundation funded the education reforms implemented five years ago. But, they said that this money weren't transferred on Maia Sandu's bank accounts.
