Minibus drivers from Chisinau pulled over and fined for transporting too many passengers

Officers from Chisinau Police Department are continuing to document and sanction minibus drivers, who are transporting more people than it is recommended for the vehicle. Therefore, policemen covered Ştefan cel Mare boulevard, intersection with Mihai Viteazu street and pulled over minibuses overfilled with passengers. The drivers were warned and fined with 600 lei and 3 penalty points.
The operation is meant to make minibus drivers more responsible and prevent accidents among such vehicles. Officers from Public Nuisance and Urban Transport Section, of Chisinau Police Department are also participating.
