Education Ministry was checking the Stefan Cel Mare High School in Balti where a ceiling fell down over teacher's desk. 

State Secretary Igor Șarov, who visited the institution today, was indignant that the local authorities hesitated to take any steps to prevent the incident. 

The official said the ministry would get involved in clarifying the situation and those guilty will be sanctioned. 

"The government will take all necessary measures to solve the problem. The safety of children and parents is our priority", said General Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Igor Şarov.

We remind you that a piece of ceiling fell down in a classroom, right over the teacher's table. 

This was not the first case. Last August, a piece of ceiling also fell down into the hall of the school. 

Currently, the activities in the block where incident occurred are suspended. Students were transferred to another block of study. After that, the local authorities promise to allocate 1 million lei this year to repair the roof of the block.

At Ştefan cel Mare High School in Balti, over 600 students learn.
